Command: `ssh`

Use ssh to log into another machine.

Use the personal SSH command printed during registration. It has your course handle and the classroom host.

If the connection succeeds, you get a shell on the server.

Terminal: the interface carrying your keystrokes and output.
Shell: the command interpreter you reach after login.
